Assalam oalaikum,Isteqhara is of great significance in our Islamic society. There are a lot of our muslim brethren who know about this method of requesting for guidance from Allah. On the other hand there are some who are totally oblivious of such a useful and righteous method.
The one who performs Isteqhara protects himself from adversity. This is mainly because the person is seeking for guidance from our creator, Allah, who is all-knowing. Therefore, such a person can never go wrong. We all know that a single wrong decision that we take hurriedly or by giving in to some temptation is enough to make our future bleak. The one who does an Isteqhara turns to help from Allah, who as we know has more love for us than 70 mothers put together.
Hence, Isteqhara is a way of staying on the safe side.
